Before "Dinosaur Planet" became part of the Starfox Universe, Krystal was no fox but of a strange vulpine-feline race. I liked her much more at that time. She was more a mystic heroine than a damsel in distress.

That "Warrior Woman" thing is quite important. Why would a "innocent fox-girl" choose to stand up against somebody like General Scales? Because she's brave and self-confident. She's no Princess Toadstoal that needs to be saved all the time. She's rather a Samus, who can do quite a lot on her own.
